CBD Water – Does It Work?

CBD Water – Does It Work?

As you already may have seen through sources online, CBD oil means business. It is one of the biggest growing industries and with the recent loosening of legislation in the states, is becoming more and more popular as an alternative remedy to conventional medicine.

One of the biggest reasons why it’s so popular is because it contains all of the benefits of the cannabis plant, without the psychoactive side effects.

The more research you do, the more evidence you’ll find to back up the numerous claims on just how beneficial CBD oil can be for your health and general wellbeing.

From insomnia and anxiety to even seizures, there’s not a lot that CBD can’t help you with. It’s no surprise then that it’s already a million dollar industry and is set to become a billion dollar industry within the next two years.

As you may have guessed, CBD oil companies are doing everything they can to make sure they get a chunk of this incredibly lucrative industry, which includes selling a wide range of products.

These days CBD oil comes in many different forms, from capsules and balms to tinctures and even syringes for your pet. One of the more interesting recent CBD oil products is CBD water, which is what we’re going to talk about today.

So, What is CBD Oil Water?

You may or may not be surprised that CBD water is just water infused with CBD oil. We all know that we could drink more water, so adding a natural remedy to it like CBD is just another way to encourage consumers to get their eight a day. Perhaps the most interesting part of this newer CBD product is how they add the CBD oil to the water.

Most of the companies that are producing CBD oil water employ nanotechnology to do so. This is when CBD molecules are added on a microscopic level to small volumes of water.

In theory, this practice is done to make the CBD more available to your body – if it’s infused already with the water molecules, then surely it will be able to travel through to your bloodstream and the rest of your body more quickly. The entire process is quite technical and requires the CBD oil molecules to become microscopic in size.

CBD water is being marketed mainly as a better way to get CBD oil into your body. Because the size of the CBD molecules is so small, they are able to get where they need to be much faster than if you processed them through your digestive system. This is the entire premise of a product like this.

In other words, the main focus here is the bioavailability of CBD oil. If we’re able to absorb most if not all of the CBD by drinking it through water, then surely this is the new wonder remedy. Is it too good to be true, though?

The Benefits of CBD Water

Before we look at the downsides, let’s take a look at how CBD water can benefit you. We’ve already talked about the increase in bioavailability as a result of taking CBD this way.

Additionally, it is incredibly high in antioxidants which means that your immune system also benefits. Common benefits from a product like this include a reduction in muscle pain and a faster healing time.

In regards to flavor, you shouldn’t be able to taste too much because the only ingredients are CBD and water. Most companies think that 50mg of CBD per bottle is sufficient, although depending on the severity of your health condition you may need more.

Additionally, there are no psychoactive effects associated with taking CBD in this way – in fact, you should feel energized and refreshed after drinking it.

Issues With CBD Water

Is CBD Water Worth It

When looking at the downsides to CBD water, the biggest one relates to the nanotechnology that most companies use. While most experts agree that this method of taking CBD helps with bioavailability, they’re also concerned about toxicity.

While the FDA have already established limits and guidelines around how much of a mineral or a vitamin you should take, of course, there are no guidelines or limits yet for phytochemicals.

Because the biochemicals created by nanotechnology can bypass certain barriers in the body, this causes the body to open itself up to other foreign quantities that it hasn’t been exposed to before.

Additionally, it’s important to remember that this industry isn’t regulated. This means that the nanotechnology itself isn’t being screened or tested, posing a potential risk to customers.

As well as this downside, there’s also the matter of the ‘entourage’ effect. This term refers to the way that cannabinoids come together to help various health issues, and while they all have their individual advantages, sometimes they work better together.

When you pick out a cannabinoid like CBD and isolate it, you could just end up reducing its ability to work effectively. The vast majority of companies only choose to add CBD to their water, which means that you’re only getting the benefits of CBD and none of the other cannabinoids.

So, CBD Water or CBD Oil: Which is Better for You?

Right now, CBD oil is still the most popular way to consume CBD. Again, while CBD water has the advantages of bioavailability, taste, and speed, it’s no match for CBD oil that has the advantages of safety, price and being full spectrum.

If you’re looking for a CBD oil product that’s safe to use and contains the full spectrum benefits of the cannabis plant, then you’ll want to stick with your CBD oil.

Until more research is done into the nanotechnology process and just how CBD water affects the body, it’s best to opt for CBD oil. CBD water does have its advantages and can be an excellent way of getting your daily CBD, but there’s just not enough information on it yet to guarantee its safety.

Final Thoughts

The thought of being able to drink your daily CBD is a pretty exciting one, especially knowing that it’s definitely going to get into your system and make a difference to your health. It’s also a great way to take your CBD if you’re someone who doesn’t really like the taste of it.

With these thoughts in mind, it’s worth remembering that CBD water is actually pretty expensive, so it’s up to you whether you consider it worth your time or not.

Again, because the concerns around the nanotechnology, it’s also a method that you’ll have to try at your own risk. There are only a few select companies who are selling it right now, so it’s vital that you do your research and make sure you’re purchasing the real deal.
